Bar Nine, Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, New York

“.. I think I worked service bar for like 2 months before they put me behind the bar for a show. First weekend I really wanted to show my bosses what I could do so I was working fast. A pint glass got stuck in the shaker so I tapped it against the bar to loosen it up a bit and the whole glass broke in my hand. The gash was pretty dope; I ran to the kitchen, had the bar back wrap me up and got right back behind the bar. A couple minutes later I heard my boss yelling at me from the kitchen to check if I needed stitches. I don’t do hospitals, we threw a glove on that bitch and kept it pushing. Luckily the wound wasn’t serious.. no stitches!”
